EHC systems commonly use phosphate ester which can develop high TAN (total acid number) when exposed to water. The acid attacks the binding agent in glass fiber media. The result is lower efficiency and media migration, or fiber shedding, where the filter is generating contamination. The stainless steel fibers used on our filters is impervious to the acidic compounds that form in EHC systems. The non-compressible stainless steel media yields long life in high differential pressure applications. The filters are not affected by water & gelatinous contamination. The filters come in absolute ratings from β2 =200.
