Personal Safety Bio-Syn EHC Fluid
personal_safety-imgBio-Syn EHCFluid cannot create phosphoric acid nor does it create any type of aggressive acid.  The typical total acid number of Bio-Syn EHC Fluid is less than 1 and represents a safe organic type of fatty acid, which will not burn the skin.

Unlike phosphate esters, which can contain residual phenols, Bio-Syn EHC Fluid contains no known potential toxicological threat, nor can it manifest any through hydrolysis, making it more toxicologically acceptable from an OSHA, NIOSH, and EPA standpoint.

Seals

With Bio-Syn EHC Fluid, it is not necessary to utilize expensive seals, hoses, or accumulator bladders such as Viton or Teflon, as is the case with phosphate esters. Bio-Syn EHC Fluid does not have any tendency to either swell or delaminate more conventional elastomers, such as high nitrile or Buna N; but will, maximize the long term integrity of existing Viton and Teflon seals and hoses.
Viscosity
viscosity-imageBIO-SYN EHC FLUID has a minimum viscosity index of 215 which allows for maximum stability of the viscosity over an extreme range of temperatures, with a minimum pour point down to 0° F.
Lubrication

BIO-SYN EHC FLUID has provided superior lubrication and extended oxidation stability in the severest of high temperature hydraulic operations; including electro hydraulic control systems producted for G.E. and Westinghouse steam turbines.ASTM D2882 hydraulic pump testing registed less than 4 mg total cam ring and vane weight loss.

Fire Resistance

Bio-Syn EHC FLUID
is inherently fire resistant and is approved under the latest Spray Flammability Parameter protocol with Factory Mutual Global, initially granted a Group I designation. Bio-Syn EHC Fluid will not propagate a flame but will self-extinguish once the source of ignition has been removed. Although all fire resistant fluids will burn under certain conditions, the by-products of combustion can be just as critical as the fire itself. Unlike phosphate esters, Bio-Syn EHC Fluid will not generate a black, acrid, highly noxious smoke, thus providing a potentially safer atmosphere in which to contain combustion.

Bio-Syn EHC FLUID

has been proven to be compatible with phosphate ester fluid in good condition; it is strongly recommended that systems designated for conversion be drained as much as possible, and if necessary flushed, in order to derive the maximum benefits from the fluid change out.

New Fluid Cleanliness
cleen-imgBio-Syn EHC FLUID is triple filtered through 3 micron beta 200 filters in order to minimize any – contamination of the hydraulic fluid system. This filtration allows us to  achieve greater than servo-system standards thus allowing us to reach a cleanliness standard of ISO 14/11/9, or better. This is significantly cleaner than any other EHC fluid currently being supplied for electro hydraulic control operations.
Resistivity
resistivity-imgIn order to avoid causing damage to servo valves due to static discharge (Free Stream Electron Damage), it is critical to maintain the electrical resistivity of the hydraulic fluid greater than 5 G-ohms-cm. New Bio-Syn EHC Fluid has resistivity values greater than 55 G-ohm-cm and can easily me maintained greater than 100 G-ohm-cm in normal operation.
